“This is what
the past is for! Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our
lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.”
Corrie Ten Boom
There are so many times I have rebelled against God for the pain and
difficulties in my life.
Or because it is so boring and I'm not advancing fast enough.
For the senseless things happening to me and around me.
For the people that come and go.
That hurt me, or take something of me with them.
Or who love me and then leave me.
But the great secret is, that everything and everyone God puts in our
lives is for a reason.
And we cannot move on if we don't let go first.
Beautiful thoughts. I love the quotes you shared. I recently finished reading The Hiding Place by Corrie and was so inspired by her and her families lives. God bless!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such an inspirational post! This was a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI think this is true, and i have been told my past was building up for my future..
ReplyDeleteI love this post. It is so true! It reminds me of Joseph and his journey and how everything he went through prepared him to be a great leader. I have a testimony of this in my own life.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words for the first of Autumn :)
ReplyDeleteThese are very wise words...and your photos illustrate them well!
ReplyDeleteI love that first quote - really needed to hear that today! Thank You :)
ReplyDeleteI love Oswald Chambers - I should really re-read My Utmost again. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI love this thought! I'll be looking at the people who come across my days in a different way. ~Pamela
ReplyDeleteAmen. Amen. I have let bitterness and anger hold onto me so that I can use them as self protection. But what God showed me is that this keeps me from experience the fullness of what life and His love have to offer.
ReplyDeleteGreat Psalm! Thank you for sharing it! I find my favorite is Psalms 91! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so true but so hard to accept. I have recently started going back to church and have had a major setback. I know it is the devils way of trying to get me to lash out at god but I refuse. I am trying so hard to hold fast to my faith. Thank you for this reminder.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Thank you for sharing! These are some beautiful thoughts. I love the title of it, "Past Is The Perfect Preparation For The Future". We learn so much from our past and when we apply what we've learned from it, we become a better person. I know God has his own plans for us and we might not know what it is, but sooner or later, we will know. I miss going to church and hear God's words.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote by Oswald Chambers. You have a knack for sharing such encouragement and truth, thanks for the reminder to rest in His grip as we go through the hard days. I agree that God never wastes a hurt and it brings Him such glory when we let him move through our hurts to touch someone else.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Dawn
