On a big throne he sat and dealt his justice, among gold and precious stones he parted his charity.
To one he said, bring your family, they do not love me, they do not obey me.
They have said that I am not just.
So I will take everything they have and give it to my favorites because I am just.
To another he told, your family lives in poverty and they barely have nothing.
What little they have I will give to my favorites and your family too, can serve them as slaves.
For I am charitable and will allow them work for their bread.
Who has nothing will be stricken down.
Who has only little better fight and find a way to take the bread from others or they shall have nothing.
In my country, you have to be strong, you will work for what you have and if you're not smart enough you shall starve.
In my country the wolves eat the sheep and the sheep shall perish.
I am not a dog or a shepherd, I am a king.
Always love your stories! Thanks for another enjoyable read.
ReplyDeleteI am very confused by this story.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of confused too. But I'm sure maybe there is a part 2 or its just a very very sad existence for these people.
ReplyDeleteSuch A Pleasure Reading Your Post So Inspiring Thank You!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story and great pictures to go along with it.
ReplyDeleteMichelle F.
I'm with Miriam and Heather, I'm confused and when is part 2. I hope the king gets his pay back.
ReplyDeletei think this is just such an interesting series. great writing
ReplyDeleteIt has a sort of Robin Hood-esque quality to it, or I'm just reading it wrong.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great read and I agree that this is sort of like Robin Hood..
ReplyDeleteI agree with his concept on working for your welfare because it's what make people strong. His charity is giving what one deserves and not what's free.
ReplyDeletegreat story!
ReplyDeletethat's thought provoking
ReplyDeleteThis can be taken in more than one way I believe. It depends on circumstances to why some live in poverty. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love this... sharing with my friends :)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how he is just and charitable. Striking down those that have nothing doesn't seem too charitable to me.
ReplyDeleteGood read, I really am trying to learn as much as I can about your country, the area in the world is so beautiful. He is a good soul.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to read the story and then the comments. It is a whole experience.
